Dom Aversano is a British-American composer and percussionist. The theme of technology and globalisation, and his conception of time, rhythm and form, are strongly informed by the meticulous and exacting world of South Indian Carnatic percussion, which he studied for more than a decade in London and Chennai.

Dom’s music is infused with ideas and approaches derived from Western classical music, South Indian classical music, and electronic music. He seeks to find a balance between the algorithmic mathematical approach to music, that is intellectualised, and the intuitive ineffable dimension, that is felt.

Dom has studied with and owes gratitude to Sri Balachandar, Billy Cobham, Justin Paterson, Sri Hariharan, and Mrs Narasimhan.
